The new UTSW Primary Care Clinic in Plano will be staffed by Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Obstetrics/Gynecology faculty physicians.
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) also operates 452 inpatient beds in the St. Paul and Zale Lipshy buildings and 40 hospital-based and ambulatory-based clinics on its Dallas campus. Faculty and Residents provide care to more than 100,000 hospitalized patients and oversee nearly 2 million outpatient visits a year. The physician faculty of UTSW provide patient care at a large number of hospitals and clinics in Dallas, Fort Worth, and North Texas communities. Its Faculty physicians, residents and health care professionals at UTSW provide almost $144 milllion in uncompensated clinical services annually.
- UTSW is providing more primary care services closer to where patients live - in the Plano and Richardson area.
- Hours of these clinics will continue to expand to include weekends and evenings.
